HLTAID009 PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCIATION (CPR)
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course covers the knowledge and skills required to provide CPR, manage and assess an emergency situation, use an automatic external defibrillator (AED), understand DRSABCD and the First Aider’s legal responsibilities.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must be at least 14 years of age.
The assessment criteria requires students to demonstrate the ability to
correctly perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor.
Duration:
3 hours face to face training.
Certificate Valid:
1 year from date of course completion
HLTAID011 PROVIDE FIRST AID
This course covers a broad range of topics that will enable the candidate to
confidently manage an emergency situation. This is a general first aid course that is open to all.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must be at least 14 years of age.
The assessment criteria requires students to demonstrate the ability to
correctly perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin
placed on the floor.
Duration:
8 hours face to face training
Certificate Valid:
3 years from date of course completion
3. Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (HLTAID015)
This course covers a broad range of topics relevant to educators and support
staff working within an education and care setting. You will learn the knowledge and skills required to respond to First Aid emergencies, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must be at least 14 years of age.
The assessment criteria requires students to demonstrate the ability to
correctly perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor.
Duration:
8 hours face to face training
Certificate Valid:
3 years from date of course completion
